I don't really do many things traditionally. This is also true in my writing life. Although I mostly write Young Adult novels, I don't really like to pigeonhole myself to one market. Most of my works--both published and unpublished--are contemporary fiction, but not all are young adult. Of my two published novels, one is a young adult and the other adult. Summer on Fire, published by MuseItUp Publishing in 2011, is a contemporary young adult novel. Sebastian's Poet, published in 2012 by Musa Publishing, is for the adult market. The Reasons, which will publish in April, 2013 by Musa Publishing, is also for the adult market.

As well as being a writer, I am a founding board member of the Ontario Writers' Conference. Along with the rest of the OWC Board of Directors, I am extremely passionate about the conference. It allows me to bring writers of all levels together with amazingly talented workshop presenters, mentors, agents, publishers, etc. So, when I am not writing novels, plays and poetry, I am working behind the scenes with the rest of the OWC Board to bring our yearly conference to life. Helping other writers is one of my greatest passions.
